Humanyze Appoints Successful Boston Entrepreneur to Its Board

Chris Wysopal brings extensive entrepreneurial experience to the Humanyze team

BOSTON – March 29, 2018 – Humanyze, the global leader in people analytics technology, announces the appointment of Chris Wysopal to its Board of Directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the Humanyze team and benefit from his decades of experience as a successful entrepreneur in the Boston tech ecosystem,” said Ben Waber, Humanyze’s co-founder and CEO. “Chris has a deep track record of building and successfully scaling innovative technology companies, and we welcome his perspective and experience on our Board.”

Chris is an experienced entrepreneur and computer security expert with deep Boston roots. He is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Veracode, a Burlington, MA-based software security company that was acquired by CA Technologies for $614M in 2017—one of the Boston area’s largest exits to date. One of the original vulnerability researchers at well-known hacker think tank The L0pht, Chris was early to articulate the challenges and opportunities in cybersecurity. He served as vice president of research and development at security consultancy @stake (acquired by Symantec) before co-founding Veracode in 2006.

“I’m delighted to join the Humanyze team,” said Chris. “Humanyze has a unique combination of technical excellence and an unshakeable commitment to user security, with a focus on making large enterprises more agile and able using the power of people-driven data. This vision resonates with me, and I look forward to helping them continue building it.”

Chris joins the Humanyze board on behalf of Romulus Capital, a longstanding investor in the company. “I am excited about working with Chris on Humanyze’s Board. Adding him underscores our commitment to building Humanyze into a large and globally impactful business,” said Krishna K. Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner of Romulus Capital. “His experience in creating and selling best-in-class software to enterprises is directly relevant to Humanyze, which we believe can become the go-to trusted partner for companies across industries looking to make better, smarter, more data-driven decisions about their people.”
