The Future of Work is emerging before our very eyes, and many trends have accelerated in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. As we adapt to the “new normal,” there has been a rapid acceptance of remote workplaces, distributed teams, and new forms of technology. Industry reports estimate that there may be over 1 billion remote workers by the year 2035, creating a clear need for new and innovative work structures.
In this post, we present the 51 best Future of Work conferences to attend in 2022. You will find that many of the events are targeted at Future of Work trends, while others cater to broader topics such as inclusion and employee experience. There are many great options for both in-person and remote access. Note that details for 2022 events are not yet published for some events at the time of this writing. VentureBeat specializes in reporting on the many technologies used in today’s workplace, and their Future of Work conference features a range of speakers, including executives from Salesforce and Zoom. Besides discussing topics such as enterprise automation, remote working and new technology, attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other professionals.

2. IDG: CIO’s Future of Work Summit

IDG’s primary focus is in connecting buyers with sellers of technology through their monthly summits. These can either be in-person or virtual, but either way, it’s a good place to build awareness of your company, make connections and potentially find some new customers. The topic of February’s summit is developing expert leadership strategies and plans for the hybrid workplace and remote employees.

3. ATD Tech Knowledge (TK)
February 7-10, 2022
ATD TechKnowledge brings together the topics of Learning & Development and technology in an engaging virtual conference setting. The topic of this event from February 11 of 2021 was titled Navigating the R/Evolution of Work. 5. The State of Human Experience in the Workplace
February 16-17, 2022
This virtual event will be one of the first hosted by the popular human resources site HR.com in 2022. The subject of this virtual talk is employee and human experience as it relates to the modern workplace. This information will be helpful for business leaders and HR professionals who are seeking to gain a greater understanding of how performance and engagement can be supported with workplace data.
6. HR and the Future of Work
February 22-24, 2022
The HR Exchange will host the 4th edition of the HR and Future of Work conference in February of 2022. This event will be completely virtual and free for all attendees who register online prior to the start date. Over 1,500 registrants are expected, and the event will feature over 15 speakers and access to on-demand content for those who can not watch in real-time.
7. Virtual HR Technology Conference & Exhibition
March 1-4, 2022
The HR Technology Conference is currently accepting registrations for this free virtual event in 2022 at the time of publication. New information is being released each week, and you can follow the website for more details. The goal of this conference is to further a discussion about the development of HR practices through the use of technology.
8. HR West
March 8-9. 2022
HR West brings together HR professionals from throughout the world to gather in Oakland for the annual spring event. The upcoming 2022 HR West Conference will take place both in-person and through a virtual platform for remote attendees. This conference welcomes over 1,000 participants and has been taking place for more than 25 years.
9. Next Practices Now
March 14-17, 2022
Next Practices Now is hosted by the global HR think tank i4cp, with the next conference taking place in mid-March of 2022. This is a popular event for senior HR leaders, and the organizers specifically eliminate vendors and consultants so that the discussions can focus on true HR practices with real-world examples. Key topics planned for the event include organizational culture, human capital, and the future of work.
10. WorkTech Auckland

The Employee Engagement Summit 2022 will be held in London on the 12th of May and is Europe’s largest employee experience event. Major themes of this conference will be hybrid workplaces and the future of employee engagement.
19. ATD International Conference & EXPO
May 15-18, 2022
The ATD 2022 International Conference and Expo will be held in Orlando and places a priority on people, perspectives, and potential. 23. The Future of Work Conference

The Future Of Work Conference was held in late November of 2021 and will be May 25-26 in Saggart, Co. Dublin. This conference brings together professionals from HR, training, and recruiting to discuss the latest developments in business processes and technology. 24. Gallup at Work Summit
June 7-8, 2022
The Gallup at Work Summitt 2022 is scheduled for early June and is an excellent opportunity to interact with other professionals interested in workplace and leadership development. Last year’s event included talks from leading executives including Jane Miller, President and COO of Gallup, and Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. 26. Employee Experience Strategies Summit

The Employee Experience Strategies Summit 2022 will be held from June 21 to 22 in Toronto and will mark the 4th time this event has been offered. Talks and workshop content from this conference will focus on employee performance, productivity, and retention. 27. Gartner Digital Workplace Summit – US (San Diego)
San Diego, California
The Gartner Digital Workplace Summit for the U.S. region will take place in San Diego over two days in June of 2022. The title of the conference is “Rethinking Work,” and leaders will gather to discuss leading strategies and workplace technologies. 28. Future of Work USA

The Future of Work USA conference was first launched in 2019 and continues to provide HR leaders and other professionals with a dedicated platform to discuss this important topic. Critical themes like digital workplaces, change management, and business transformation will be reviewed in a format that is tailored towards the perspective of senior executives. New speakers are still being announced, and there is plenty of time to finalize travel plans to Boston for the 2022 event.
29. IDG: CIO’s Future of Work Summit

IDG continues its monthly summit series with its second CIO’s Future of Work Summit, giving you another opportunity to attend if you missed the first summit back in February. This time, the focus is on redefining the workplace through engagement, efficiency and automation.
30. HRPA 2022 Summer Conference

The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) will host the HRPA 2022 Summer Conference in July. Organizers for this event have designed the content to match the needs of HR professionals. The Future of Work series includes this Asia-Pacific (APAC) conference that will be held again in September of 2022. In addition to content related to the future of work, you will also find time devoted to other topics like workplace culture and HR technologies. Many of the speakers that frequently attend this event also have extensive expertise in employee experience (EX) and business transformation.
32. CoreNet Global Summit | EMEA
September 13-15, 2022
The next 2022 CoreNet Global Summit for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will be held from September 13-15 at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam. A detailed agenda and theme for the conference will be announced sometime in the coming year and will build on the content from their other events. 33. HR Technology Conference

Human Resource Executive Magazine and LRP Media Group will co-host the 2022 HR Technology Conference and Expo in Las Vegas. Registration will open on February 14th. The main focus of this event is the use of technology to improve human resources success. 34. Gartner ReimagineHR Conference – London
September 15-16, 2022
The next Gartner ReimagineHR Conference is planned as an in-person event in London that will build on the themes presented during the 2021 virtual conference. Many Chief Human Resources Officers attend ReimagineHR, where a wide range of topics are covered. 36. IBI/Conference Board Health and Productivity Forum

The IBI Conference Board Health and Productivity Forum was previously scheduled for late March in 2021, at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago. Last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic, and the organizers are preparing for a full conference experience in the coming year. 37. FT Live Future of Work: Digital

Gartner’s ReimagineHR annual US conference will be taking place in Orlando, FL, with HR professionals able to attend in person.
